Interesting reading the PH report on the facelift M2 and the comments on a potential M2 CS with the engine from the M3/4.

I've put a speculative deposit down at a dealer and will keep an eye on press updates over the coming months. Anyone else in the same boat?

How do you find the steering in your current M2? For me the steering is one of the main let downs of the M4 compared to the e92 comp pack. Wondered if the M2 is any better and also if it will be a focus point for improvement in the CS

From the snipits around it seems possible they will make a CS for 2018 then maybe a run out csl low volume version at the end of the series production in 2020.

But with all those variants it may be a bit excessive. I'd love something to compete with a Cayman gt4. E.g. Engine from big brother, sorted steering and suspension and a manual gearbox. Not massive concerned with it being a track warrior like the m4 GTS. In that sense the m2 CS and m4 GTS, could be positioned like the Porsche Cayman GT4 and the 911 GT3 RS

Hi guys will any dealer take a deposit and do you have to have a history to place one?
I believe anyone can put a deposit down and get a place. Just double check what position you are on the list as it will vary on dealer

Once the car is officially announced they call you in to have a chat and review the spec. At that point you decide to go ahead or have your money back

Wouldn't be surprised if its £65k+. Just don't know if it will be worth it. But hey I passed up on a brand new 1M because I thought it was too much for a 1 series...

For those that have had depsits / LOI down for a while, have you been contacted by your dealers or BMW?

I’ve had a chat with my dealer who hasn’t given any formal information but thinks there is a product launch on 18th April

Also does anyone know if production is limited or if it’s a normal run?
