Just looking for a bit of help from someone with some watch knowledge. This is my sisters watch, she left it with me to have it serviced and repaired here where I live. I notice having got it back that it seems to stop sometimes. However, I thought it had a battery rather than being automatic. Could someone explain to me how it supposed to work, is it fully battery and should run constantly, or is it fully automatic and needs movement at times to run or it will stop after a few hours/ a day, or is it some kind of a mix? It has 2384 on the back and is a Tank Francaise. Pic below. Thanks all.

Take it to a reputable watch service place as per your sister's wishes and let them deal with it.

That's exactly what my question was, which one is it! It's just come back from a reputable service place hence why I am trying to figure out why it stops, is it because it is automatic and how it's supposed to be, or is their still an issue if it's quartz.

Anyway, from what the others have said seems like it is Quartz and should not be stopping. Thanks

Also, just to add it's strange because when I move it around it seems to work again for a few hours, which was making me think it could be automatic, or a mix if that makes sense (being someone that knows nothing about watches!)
