Kings head, Ivinghoe. Lunch menu is reasonable price, normally need to book for dinner.

But Neil - that place costs a fortune, or it did when i last looked at the menu when i was considering where to take a lucky lady for Valentines. something like £50 just for one main course !!!!!

Needless to say, we ended up going to The Boot in Soulbury, which, while i am on the subject, is not a bad place for food - more restaurant than pub grub, and the fixed menu is quite limited, but the food and service is,. on the whole, good. They have just started doing Pizzas, and if you get the chef on a good night, they are to die for!
yikes 50 quid for a fillet steak is abit steep! mind you, you do get starter and dessert with that

We usually go over to Stony Stratford to the Mogul Palace for Indian, always good food ( or maybe I'm just easily pleased ).
Is that the one in the old church? I always get that one and the other one down the road mixed up!

They are both fairly good though and the one in the church is normally surprisingly empty
yeah we did a work do at that one, food was V good, I think the one you mean Martin is the Bekash (probably not the right spelling) its up the other end of the high street

I'm off to the Carrington Arms tonight so will let you know afterwards what it's like.

I'm currently asking for recommendations on the menu as some of the meats on offer are slightly unusual ! clicky
I've had Kanagaroo and Bison before, both very nice. If you've not tried any of them, just go for it smile and let us know what you think

Fox and Hounds at Riseley for me, eat there quite regular and is always good.

How was the Carringtons Arms, I have been but was dissapointed, was it good?
Is the Fox the pub where you carve off as much steak as you want and then get it cooked, just as you like it?

If so, it's great.
yes great steaks there biggrin

We tried Fugu in Milton Keynes on Friday night.

Food and the service was superb. Always good to watch the chef cook the food in front of you.
we've got one similar in Northampton called Sakura, is great fun having your own chef biggrin
