New series of Car SOS tonight

Yep, was a good episode, but fk me was that shell a mess. Some bodgery of epic proportions. Also can do without the fake jeopardy, "oh my god we've only got ten minutes to finish it" clap trap, the show doesnt need it. Would rather they spent more time showing how they fabricated the panels and rebuilt the shell.
I met Fuzz in my local Tesco Local petrol station in Reading on Saturday night, on his way home after drumming at a gig for The Beat.
I told him I was looking forward to the new series, he seemed genuinely pleased to meet a fan of the show, top fella.
He was driving a 530D Touring - a barge he was recently enquiring as to the availability of on his FB page.

A fantastic restoration on what was basically a pile of scrap metal.
I am a little concerned about the direction this show seems to be going if the 'coming soon' trailer at the end of it is anything to go by. It looks like the cars are going to be mainly unafordable exotica way out of the reach of the majority of viewers and the working mans motors won't get a look in. Surely restoring something like more 60's/70's/80's lower end cars is a bit closer to what the majority of the viewers can identify with? Not Aston Martins and Mercedes Pagoda's.

Absolute stunning Pagoda. Glad to see it wasn't scrapped but how could anyone have bodged it so badly?!
Looked like it was 'repaired' with oxy-acetylene rather than a mig welder and patch metal rather than replacement panels.Badly welded so the panels got distorted so they've used fibreglass and filler to get the shape.I've seen rustier cars but nothing as badly repaired as that.
Must have cost a pretty penny to put it right
I do love Car SOS, it doesn't seem in the same league, but I prefer it to TG.
Fuzz and the boys do lovely work, it's enough detail for me without going the full "a something is born" and the back-story element makes me feel good, it's even enough for the Wife to enjoy it.
I even like the Tim buying bits, the people he deals with are great, I especially like the guy who did the roof for the Mercedes.

Just watched episode one. Is it just me or is there something strange about a guy who has worked in the motor trade all his life buying such a badly botched car as his own, personal project? A quick run over the bodywork with a magnet would have shown how much was filler. Sorry but I feel a little suspicious.
