When we moved into our current house, the furniture was far too big. But, we had no money, so had to live with it.

Our second bedroom is fairly small with a sloping ceiling, and we put in a massive 200x120x60 wardrobe in it and it just filled it up. Finally after a year or so, we decided to sort it out. So, with a local carpenter we came up with a design that'd give us more hanging space, more shelves and a desk (with built in filing cabinet).

Day 1 was yesterday, installed but not finished. Figured I'd start a topic and update it proceeds.

Oh, I've got a massive wardrobe I need to get rid off, if anyone's interested!

ETA: I'm trying to think of a good way to provide light to the desk area, without it being overkill. I was thinking of 2 GU10's mounted in the top corner, in a block of wood. I can then power it off the mains and provide a switch under the desk.

Yes, its MDF, and still breaking the budget! Going for shaker style doors, all finished in a eggshell paint.

Its not much, but alot better than what we had before. Really looking forward to working on a bigger desk!
