Advice welcome please.

We have a 7 month old puppy, generally very calm, loving and relaxed…

But, recently she seems to have developed a weird habit of being asleep, then jumping awake and running towards either the TV or into the kitchen as though she is responding to a noise.. although the OH and I have heard nothing.

The main issue is that quite often when she (the puppy) does this she is asleep on my lap and when she goes to defcon 5 and jumps up, it’s usually at the expense of my nads.

Last night she jumped up, got her head stuck under the sofa blanket and did what can only be described as a wheelspin with her paws, on my cock and balls.

So, I’ve done a bit of research and can’t really find much of an answer. Lots of places talk about seizures or absence seizures etc. It’s nothing like that.

It is almost a type of hyper vigilance, but, at night she sleeps without disturbances and quite often likes a lie in..

Anyone been through this before? Is it a part of puppy adolescence and development?

Thanks all
