Christian Horner
Discussion
aka bell end ,Whinger Spice, nob, jolly good chap or what ever, has been quoted as saying F1 fans have short memories and will soon forget the events that took place at Abu Dhabi, I do not know if someone has requoted this recently in the media or that he has reiterated his statement with the usual casual wave of his hand.
Now I don`t know about you, be you a Max fan ,Lewis fan, don`t care fan or a casual observer, CH must be smoking some funny stuff if he thinks anyone will forget anytime soon unless they have been lobotomized .
He will not forget
The media will not forget
His team will not forget
Or any driver on the grid
Any F1 fan will not forget
Max will certainly not forget............I COULD GO ON
I will not forget, I will also not forget that he spouted such a steaming pile of crap, he obviously believes we are all morons (hopes most likely)

The sad thing is, he's probably right.
F1 nerds won't forget. But the more casual observer and non-observer have probably forgotten already.
Example in point - I don't recall too many people bringing up Schumacher's indiscretions when he was winning title after title at Ferrari.
How can a non-observer remember anything ? Plenty remembered Schumacher`s antics, that`s why he is not regarded by many as the greatest, just the sneakiest .F1 nerds won't forget. But the more casual observer and non-observer have probably forgotten already.

Haha you sound like a Trump supporter!
Get over it… I’ve been watching F1 since the 80s and this was the best season in a long, long time. Had me on the edge of my seat. I’m a Lewis fan and disappointed he didn’t get the title, but Mercedes strategy was simply not as good as Red Bulls. Masi’s call worked in RB’s favour. All the Max fans would be screaming if he let the race finish under red flag. You can’t please everyone.
I feel sorry for you carrying all of this bitterness around.
Who`s bitter ?? I think CH is a fool if he thinks anyone will forget the biggest balls up in F1 history, I happen to think this was as bad for Max as it was for Lewis. I`ve been watching since the 70`s , my blood pressure is spot on perfect.
This is not about Max or Lewis, it`s about the the sport being made to look foolish that bothers me, there have been plenty of WWE references over the last few weeks, that is just disappointing, can`t quite figure out why the Max fans think its so great, it isn`t .

What was the ultimate effect of the 2005 USGP? At the time I remember a big song and dance about how F1 was trying to make inroads into the US market. Our European chauvinism took quite a beating when we found that our so superior F1 cars couldn't navigate the track without their tyres blowing up.
Ironically the level of farce wouldn't be equalled until this year at Spa where points were awarded for driving around behind a safety car and noone got any refunds... and then that high watermark would be blown away with the Abu Dhabi debacle.
A lot of song and dance is made of how cutting edge F1 has always been. Like football there appears to be a disconnect between the advances made by the teams in ensuring efficiency and management and how the sport is actually run.
They said lessons would be learned from 2005 USGP, it seems not. the teams are all competent players, but they need the FIA to stop any cheating, we need someone else to wipe the FIA`s backside and change their bib from time to time sadly.Ironically the level of farce wouldn't be equalled until this year at Spa where points were awarded for driving around behind a safety car and noone got any refunds... and then that high watermark would be blown away with the Abu Dhabi debacle.

I had hoped that might be ben Sulayem, the new esteemed FIA President, if he has strung together a single intelligible sentence since taking over I am not aware of it.
Feel free to correct me there.
Spa this year was disgusting ,didn`t really sink in much at the time, I was just disappointed because its my favourite race, worse for fans who travelled clearly.

Ultimately I think Horner now realises that 2021 title is tarnished, it’s eating him inside and all this bhing is his way of deflection. He’s desperate to win a legitimate title. And to make it clear, I have no dog in this fight, no favourite team or driver….
All his comments in DTS are obviously pre AD, so just shows he was always a bell end, see my opening comments in this thread, of course now the whole world knows it Gassing Station | Formula 1 | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
