Which 205/55/R16 tyres?
Discussion
So our civic has front tyres at the wear bars, but also, I found out tonight that the source of the ticking noise that's been following us around for a good two weeks is actually a fairly large self tapping screw lodged in the rear wheel. I am going to see if it can be repaired as the rears have lots of life in them.
If I can't get it done, I'll buy 3 of the same tyres (bridgestone er300's) so that they all match. But if they can repair it then I am thinking of getting different tyres on the front.
Preferably cheaper tyres, but I have no idea what's good. How are Avon/Dunlop/Goodyear/Continental at around that 100-120 price point? Or is all a bit much of a muchness and it doesn't really matter at that price? (ie all just as likely to find the nearest ditch)
The bridgestones have been ok I must say, it's not a powerful car and being a Honda there's no such thing as enough torque to break traction. They have worn incredibly well too which is a big plus.
