Overfinch Range Rover Sport launched

Leeds-based Overfinch is offering a new version of Land Rover's luxury SUV from £140,000

If you’re the sort of person who looks at a Range Rover Sport and thinks, hmmm, too discreet for me, Overfinch has launched just the car for you. The longstanding Land Rover aftermarket firm has created its take on the luxury SUV, which brings a long list of aesthetic changes both inside and out.

An Overfinch Sport gets more aggressive bumpers made from carbon fibre and featuring no shortage of new intakes and grilles. There’s also a larger roof spoiler - also made from carbon fibre - that comes with no claims for improved aerodynamic performance but should turn a few more heads on Kensington High Street. Oh, and there's a set of Overfinch wheels.

Inside, a similar transformation comes from the fitment of new seats that can be trimmed in a variety of colours, including the trainer-like scheme shown in the images. If you prefer your shapes six-sided, Leeds-based Overfinch also offers a hexagonal stitch pattern for the leather. Further options for the cabin include carbon fibre trim and sports seats for SVR models.

Unlike the extensively enhanced versions of older Land Rovers Overfinch has produced in its 45-year history, the company’s new Range Rover Sport gets no mechanical upgrades. This means all variants have factory-standard performance, headed by the SVR and its 575hp. There is, however, a new exhaust system with Bluetooth-controlled valves for, well, more noise.

Overfinch’s vast list of available options means that each car will differ from the others, so a starting price has little meaning here. But we’re told that the most basic Overfinch Sport would cost about £140,000, making the model almost £60k pricier than the standard entry car.

Why would you want to drape a basic diesel Range Rover in a bunch of go faster stuff but not actually make it go any faster??

It's the SVR - it's not diesel...

Sorry took this part of the article to mean the 140K car was the 80K diesel with 60k of over finch stuff as SVR's are 100k anyway?

SVO have left them nowhere to go, you can get a 550 BHP Supercharged V8 in the SV Dynamic with a factory bodykit, genuine 4 pipe exhaust that sounds like thunder plus a complete custom interior and paint job. With fettling the SC engine can go to over 800 hp, with all options the SVO FFRR is 25k cheaper than an Overfinch which is why my replacement will be a SVA Dynamic because I don't want daft sized wheels to ruin the air ride.

As you say they haven't really got anywhere else to go.

But Brabus seem to run a pretty successful company going one further than AMG even if they are in the realms of total insanity.
