i wouldn't be at all surprised if the uk population of 550-2s is down in single figures
Is that good or bad ?I know the 4WD is very surefooted but thought rear 2 WD is what the real enthusiasts lust for.
LP550-2 Spec suggests lots of technical changes versus the 4WD version but does that add to the experience or as your reply suggests means it not a very popular car
Wouldn't want to have a lemon I couldn't move on it a years time if necessary

just an observation : i've never driven a '2
i suspect that in the short term it'll be a tiny, illiquid, market, but a super rare 2wd manual might be a good long-term investment. as long as you don't put any miles on it of course !
Thats kinda where I'm coming from.i suspect that in the short term it'll be a tiny, illiquid, market, but a super rare 2wd manual might be a good long-term investment. as long as you don't put any miles on it of course !
In the Porsche world ( sorry I will wash my mouth out in a minute ) a GT2 is seen to be an iconic car based on the Turbo 4WD and holds its value incredibly well in comparison.
I know its not quite the same comparing LP550-2 with GT2 but I just wonder if they are a good buy.
For example Theres a 2013 one at HR Owen http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/l... that looks pretty good to me ?

did you manage to find a car in the end ?
I did but it was a LP570-4 Performante in the end. I didn't think I would be able to extract the same degree of performance from the 2 WD version and there were no manuals out there.Well chuffed with the new car and think it was the better choice for me on balance
