Can anyone tell me if you can play a CD in the slot behind the screen and use the sat nav at the same time.
ie Does the unit come with a sat nav disc that you load and it gets downloaded onto a hard drive to allow you to take it out and then use the CD slot for music and the sat nav at the same time

My 2006 RS4 had the same system but had a CD stacker instead of the i-pod lead I now have so it wasn't an issue.

I've not quite embraced the modern i-pod technology and only have Kylie on CD

You bought a performance then, congrats..... Never listened to anything bar the car in mine!
Deposit is down so looks that way. Drove a 458, Mc Laren and LP570-4 Performante Edizione Tecnica all back to back and against all my initial thoughts, and being a Ferrari man, I chose the Lamborghini for more money ????
Due to collect end of next week so just trying to get organised.

I definitely agree with you on the sounds of the car, even better than my F355 GTS with Capristo and I never thought I would say that of any car.
I usually never let the car out of my sight or go anywhere I'm not sure of so would rarely, if at all, use the sat nav but I still tend to use CD's than i-pad, i-phone etc...

Typically the Mrs will only go in the car with her music which is all on a MP3 player so maybe I will buy her the latest carlos fandango i-player in pink for xmas and get my 6 year old boy to download all the songs

As has already been mentioned the Sat-Nav disc has to stay in the slot in order for the system to work, you can load up music onto SD cards and put them in the 2 slots just below the cd if you wanted.
I think that might be another job for the 6 year old then. Don't even know what a SD card is.

Don't you get that with cameras for photos ?

I'm guessing your laptop has a slot for the card and instead of downloading it onto an i-phone player it goes onto the SD card. Does any other system use SD cards, it seems a bit pointless if you have an ipod connection whereas the CD slot would be more versatile for us technophobes

I can see I'm going to have to book myself on a course of how to use an i-phone, i-pod, i-pad, i-player when I should be just driving the car and listening to the sounds of the engine

Congrats, I had the same thoughts as you except I didn't even try the other cars after the performante.

What colour did you go for?
Thanks. Its Rosso Mars, an Edizione Tecnica whatever that is.

I had just sold my F430 spider 4 hours previously and said I was going to wait at least until the spring to buy anything UNLESS something really special and a good deal came up in the meantime which gave me the WOW factor.
Was looking for :
1. 458
2. MCLaren MP4-12C
3. Gallardo LP560-4

Got in the company car and drove 200 + miles to ONLY look and test drive all 3 alternatives at one dealership but the minute I arrived the Gallardo had me giggling. It looked awesome especially in a red with all the black carbon detail. Funny thing was that in the car on the way up I said you cant have a red lambo thats a ferrari colour and I've always hated cars with black wheels.

TBH I only had a short 15 minute test drive but thats all I needed once I heard the thing. E Gear was better tha expected although Corsa modes seems very harsh and I need to master how you get the sound of Corsa mode with the smoothness of Sport changes. ( Shame you can't choose sound and gear changes settings independently )

Don't get me wrong I think the McLaren is an unbelieveable piece of kit, fast, good quality but not for me.
458 is probably better overall than McLaren due to sound and the name.

But the Performante is a real FUN car which is exactly what I want to get out of bed early on a sunny sunday morning and go for a drive in. The other 2 seemed quite mundane and boring in comparison.
Obviously being a spider is only going to add to the experience and excitement in the summer.

It was a real left field spur of the moment decision and I haven't slept for a week and still have a week to wait to collect it.

I'm still hoping I have made the right decision and that it also keeps it value relatively well as I do tend to change cars every 2 years

I guess they are the equivalent to Ferraris F430 16M which are £180k but being completely new to Lamborghini how rare and coverted are these LP570-4 Performante Edizione Tecnica's ?

Very nice, the red was one of my preferences.

LP570-4 ET's were released at the end of 2012. Basically the only changes are big rear spoiler as standard, carbon breaks as standard, and then a few new colour choices.

I don't think they are as limited as a 16M but there won't be that many around.
I was told 4 in red in the UK ?

Got to help with residuals I guess as limited numbers cars like the scuderia and 16M really do fetch a hefty premium.

Looking at Lambo's equivalent Superleggera they do but no where near as much which seems strange

I'm not sure where Lamborghini sits in the hierachy, in a way they are more exclusive than Ferrari ?
