720s Gorilla Glass

Hi,
Currently looking at getting into a 720s, most likely an earlier edition (2017/2018) - but one I've got my eye on has Gorilla Glass. I love the look of these and the extra light it provides in the cab, but have heard about the potential for cracking.
The car I'm looking at suffered from it and had a replacement during the summer.
My question is, is this something that tends to be 'fixed' once it's been replaced or is it actually more likely to re-occur if it's happened previously, regardless of it being replaced?
