I am looking to re-visit LeMans. I havn't been for a few years and am a little shocked at the price increases.
I always went with TL. Brilliant site and people and perfect location with all the proper private facilities. But at £520 per pitch it seemed a bit steep. That's divided by 4 people.

So looked into 1st tickets (PH site) and nearly fell off my seat.
There are 4 of us in 1 car,
So PH/1st tickets based on 2018 prices are 4 x £400. = £1600 per pitch. This does include GE pass, so take that away at £90 each and they charge £1160 per car of 4 people for the same size pitch as TL.
How are they so different and how are TL so much cheaper (even though still far more than I thought it would be).

I don't want public site again, so biting the bullet, it looks like I will be back with the prawns.

I thought about WRR, but it's just too far out. TL are track side inside the Tertre Rouge bend, so 15 mins from the centre of the village and my fave grandstands, T01 and T05 are right there.
I think my minds made up. Off to book now.

GE was 75 euro last year. Hard to see how it can drop to 57 without concessions.

Just checked. 84 euros this year.

Our packages with 1st Tickets are much more than just a camping pitch with entry tickets. You get:

- General admission to the race, qualifying and practice
- Up to five-day return Channel crossings (short sea or long sea routes)
- Pre-allocated camping pitches mean there's no rush - your space will be set out for you, whenever you arrive
- Cooked meals included (3x full English breakfast and 3x evening meals)
- Private toilets and warm showers, so no long queues for facilities
- Fenced perimeter for your peace of mind
- On-site security, including night patrols at the weekend, to protect your car and belongings
- Free Wi-Fi access so you don't have to rely on patchy 3G
- Large marquee with cash bar - a social hub for all campers whatever the weather, with live TV coverage of the race so you don't miss any of the action.

Appreciate it's not for everyone but hopefully that helps with understanding the pricing. More info here although it looks like you've already booked now for this year.

1st Tickets will create bespoke packages for you too so if you just want a no frills pitch on Bleu Nord, then give them a call and see what they can do for you.
So much the same as TL except you are in a compound in a public site. Not track side and more than twice the price. Sorry but I'm all booked up now and can't wait.

True. Each to their own.
I was just surprised that once you strip away GE passes and Crossing the difference is still over £600 across 4 people.
I appreciate that does include meals. I won't be spending that much on food, so TL is right for me and my group.
