Difference between year of manufacture and registration

Hi Folks,

Possibly a silly one, I am going to look at an MNR vortx and wondered if anyone can advise how the manufacturing date can vary so much from the date of registration with the DVLA?



I hope this makes sense?

It's on an H plate.
