3000M anti-roll bar position

Hi there,

After spending a decade or so in boxes my 3000M is slowly coming together again. Since it's been such a long time I can't remember in what direction the ends of the anti-roll bar at the front are pointing. Is that to the front or the rear of the car ? Does it even matter ? I have seen pictures where the ends are pointing to the front and pictures where they are the other way around. When pointing backwards the transverse control arm comes pretty close to the wheel, though.
