Hello.

By way of a brief history - I picked up a Scirocco R in Deep Black Pearl back in 2016 (lease). Absolutely adored it, and was very sad to hand it back in April 2018. I made a bit of a mistake and bought a 2014 Golf GTD thinking sensible was the way to go.

It wasn't.

No photos of the GTD - Tornado Red, grand, but not exciting - but here's a few of the R.

Since come to my senses and realised a fast petrol is just a bit of a vice I'll always have. Found this approved used September 2017 S3 saloon with about 6000 miles, had a little drive and was much in love. Drove it straight to the north coast after picking it up yesterday, did a bit of a tour about and drove back this morning. Great first day!

It's panther black crystal with a lovely deep red fleck not much in evidence in these photos. Quick once over this afternoon - Auto Finesse Avalanche snow foam, Autoglym wash, Autoglym resin polish, Poorboys Black Hole glaze and Poorboys Natty red paste wax.

Thanks all!

So far so practical. Dump runs are out, on account of losing the hatchback, but it's got four doors and a Haldex, and there's something very grown up about a saloon car!

It's thirsty, but I knew it would be.

Glad I'm not the only one. In its own way, it's probably the most typically Audi looking 4-door since the B5 A4.
Hadn't thought of it that way, but I think you're right! It's a very Audi sort of Audi.

Continues to impress. It's a real all rounder.
