Tuning options for 1980 911 SC

I am currently stripping every conceivable ounce from a 911SC (188BHP model from 1980) for track day use & general playing with. I am aiming to reduce 1160kgs to 1000kgs. The power is modest but I assume that with every unneccessary electric motor, bit of interior trim, spare wheel etc etc removedb - it should perform a lot better.

I am looking for the best tried & testing mild tuning for it - engine, brakes suspension etc
Anyone had any good results from 911 upgrades/improvements or good advice for upgrading it for track days(not megabucks though)
