I have a 2007 Seat Leon FR 2.0 TDI. It got 4 new injectors as part of official recall in 2012. Since then it's only done 30k miles (only got 55k in total on the clock).

Driving the other day heard loud rattle under car, it lost acceleration power, started juddering and a ploom of black smoke come out of the back. I was able to drive car 6 miles to my garage although didn't have much power and was severely juddering when idle, sometimes felt like it was going to stall in 1st/2nd gear but nevertheless still got up to 30-40mph once got going.

Diagnostics said injector fault so garage put a new injector in but car still not right. So they replaced the wiring loom (if that's the right phrase) but again car still not right. So they took cylinder head off and discovered glow plug (no. 4 i think) has got into fuel injector which has then gone into engine and wrecked it - now I need a new engine. Has anyone else ever had/heard of this?

Cheers.
