Jaguar AJV8 for engine swaps?

Jaguar AJV8 for engine swaps?
Ok then, while I keep looking at other cars to buy, part of me wants to keep one of my current toys, umm cars.
It’s a Rover V8 powered TR7 running a LT77 tranny. As good as it is, if I’m to keep it I need a reason to keep it.
So thinking of a different engine, or at least more power.
The Jaguar V8 springs to mind, partly because its British, but mostly because its small, light, modern and powerful.
However do I stand any chance of being able to fit one in a TR7 with a manual tranny and have it running without costing more money than I have?
I know when I’ve read about these engines in the past that they have been used in quite a few custom builds, old Jags (MKII’s) and Cobra replica’s. But they all retain the auto box.
Has anyone actually got these running with a manual gearbox and stand alone ECU???
Any info you have would be welcome, or failing that some other bright ideas.
Thanks.
