I've had my BMW E92 330d for just over a year and it's the perfect car...........well........almost perfect! The one thing I miss is sound/noise. The 6 pot diesel sounds good for a diesel but the lure of a V8 rumble is proving hard to resist. So I've been to look at a 2005 Monaro today and it certainly ticked the sound/noise box and they are a good looking coupe like the E92. However, the quality and feel of the interior left me feeling a bit cold compared to my BMW. Performance wise there isn't an awful lot in it given my 330d is mapped to around 300bhp but does have more torque than the Monaro so the initial shove in the back feels stronger. I had a quaife fitted to the BMW because with all the torque it was hopeless in the wet.
So, given all that and the fact the fuel costs would double do you think I would regret swapping?
The Monaro I looked at was tidy enough externally but did have a few interior issues such as door lock button snapped off, speaker grill broken and the passenger seat tilt handle not working whereas everything in my BMW works as it should.

I know only I can decide but just thought I'd put it out there to see what others think.
