Scooby understeer

Got a 97 UK scooby wagon a few weeks ago, it all seems very good apart from the front tyres which are Champiro (WTF). I know that the Imprezas tend to understeer, but it is really p155 poor. Is it likely just to be the tyres, or is it normal for a scooby. Basically, it feels like it ought to turn in but just slides, especially on the power.

Just came to the same conclusion, any recommendations? The rears are Pzeros, but the prev pirelli tyres I've had have been a bit all or nothing, especially in the wet.

Thank you, still reading the SIDC page, but a trip to the tyre shop is overdue. Looking forward to a "big go-kart" moment.
