Deleting the OP when someone's quoted you doesn't really work and make you look a bit 'flouncy'. Man up and defend your original post !
Not sure what the original post is trying to say apart from you're a bit surprised your remapped QF is a bit brisk ? If so then, yeah I'm sure it is ! (Nice car btw)
Flouncy, maybe but a bunch of Millennials trying to be funny then making them look stupid wasn't really what I was looking for so I'll exercise might right to flounce. Don't you dare flounce shame!

Starting a Dragy post without quoting any of the figures you’ve achieved is pretty much entirely pointless.
What sort of measurements were you doing?
100-200kmh is the most popular and a pretty good indication of a cars pace.
Not sure you understand what "entirely pointless" means. If I wanted to see and show a bunch of dragy times then that is what I'd have asked for. What sort of measurements were you doing?

What I'm interested in, on a car forum, is what the title said. Is dragy any good? Is it well regarded and accurate, how does it compare to the competition and what is the competition?
Why does everyone have to be so aggressive, you will not find a more polite person than me unless you're rude, then you probably think umm I should have been polite.

Anyone can accelerate very fast in a straight line when surrounded by a ton or 2 of metal on a big comfy leather seat.
If I want to accelerate very fast in a straight line, I'll jump on my motorbike, at least I have to hang on for dear life and I'm always at the front at traffic lights.

Well the “industry standard” is a vbox.
indeed - but they are expensive and the research I did before buying a draggy is that they are almost identical for a fraction of the price. Has to be said, once I got the performance figures for my car i’ve never used it since - but at a little more than a tank of juice i’m not going to cry about it.Harrison Bergeron said:
Sounds like
“Someone over took me in my mapped 4 door so I showed them by flying up behind them while they sat on the cruise control”
Also why would anyone give up being an airline pilot?
Quite the opposite, I stay with cars that I shouldn't be able to. Of course they're not trying but the figures we reach in the time we get there suggest otherwise so I bought a performance tracker without doing much research, basically Amazon's first suggestion. So wanted to see how the device was thought of to be met with the usual PH nonsense, should have known better. It also explains why I can stay with much more exotic and expensive cars “Someone over took me in my mapped 4 door so I showed them by flying up behind them while they sat on the cruise control”
Also why would anyone give up being an airline pilot?

Stopped being an airline pilot due redundancy, some years ago. I could have rejoined but decided the railway was a better option. Public perception of a pilot and train driver, especially once conditions are considered 4 day week etc. are fairly ill informed. With about 5000 unemployed or employed as delivery drivers now pilots are having a terrible time so glad I stuck to my guns.

How does the Alfa compare with the XFR out of interest?
If the XFR did manage the fabled 50 70 in 1.9 seconds pretty well with a verified 1.47.Loved the XFR noise, torque, power, leather ambience, alcantara headlining; but it did handle like a sofa!
Just interested in a comparison.
But you go for it and make the top trumps schoolboy point.

He tells me it handles great and really quite sonorous, as good a sounding V6 as you'll find but it can't match the noise of the Jag although I'm sure I recall him saying he went aftermarket on that. He loved that XFR.

Jaroon's been banned. I don't think he was being sarky Stuart, I'm sure he's sorry if it came across that way.

Thanks Mr Jaroon Merkin chap. All good. The aftermarket (quicksilver) was lovely sounding on mine!He tells me it handles great and really quite sonorous, as good a sounding V6 as you'll find but it can't match the noise of the Jag although I'm sure I recall him saying he went aftermarket on that. Not sure where to go now, Giulia, XKR, Emira is on order but a long time to wait.
F10 M5 is an option, but there is not much love for these outside for the straight line hero BMW fanboi children.
Oh the first world problems…

The internet is a funny place, random strangers can gang up on another poster for some very odd things.
Here on PistonHeads, posting a semi-coherent admission of racing on public roads will usually do it, though.Indeed Equus the Internet is a funny place but PH is at a toxic high, very biased in their banning criteria, just seem to side with the bullying masses..

At least change your posting style Jaroon.

Implying he was racing on a public road is scandalous...

Sounds like racing on public roads to me, Mirkin/Jaroon. Worse than that, it sounds like pressuring the other person(s) to push the limit of how fast they were prepared to drive. That's f...only to have a four door saloon stuck to him until we reached about our personal limit".

You're aware that multiple profiles are against the rules, here, by the way?

The OP has had another thread deleted when displaying odd behaviour and trolling. Won't be missed IMHO.
I miss him already, I hope you can respect a different opinion. It's my understanding there is a reasonable amount of interest in his car so has been asked to start a thread on it in owners cars but sadly that will never happen
