Anyone still watching this?

I am. Just through sheer disbelief really. How those two self-congratulatory high-fiving ponces are in the final I will never know.

Very disappointed in Raymond, he seems to have really sold out this series and damaged his reputation. Would you have gone into business with any of the contestants?! Not one really decent chef or front of house in the whole thing.

Haven't seen it for a couple of weeks. Last I saw was the one with the cake.

So who is left? I can't believe those 2 utter wkers are still in it. I would hope the 2 guys from East London were still in, though the front man is crap but the chef was great.

Oh yes!
Someone else must feel the same. She's permanently pregnant!

I can only think Raymond must see some mileage in the English Tapas Picnic in a Pub idea otherwise why are they there?? Very disappointing series though. We'd recommended some friends to watch it who hadn't seen the earlier ones and they wanted to know what all the fuss was about. redface

Well there will be no justice in the world if those 2 mofos win. Every time I see them I get the urge to punch them in their smug faces.

I suspect that in time we'll hear that Raymond didn't in fact open a business with either of them - creative differences or whatever.

He's clearly a very sharp cookie, but the series has been screwed by the fact they didn't shortlist anyone with any cooking talent. shame, the previous series have been excellent.

I suppose he could open a cocktail bar with the two tossers.

This really fks me off. All of these reality tv shows start out pretty good in my opinion, even Big Brother.

Normal people.

Or in the case of progs like the restaurant;

People who have a modicum of ability and real desire to go into the restaurant trade.

What the fk is this series all about? The producers have just sold out massively. They've dragged in literally the biggest bunch of muppets ever seen. Those two high-fiving tossers. They don't need chucking off the series, they need fking shooting.

Mr lazy 'innit' -face, you're letting your mate down with your bone idleness and bad attitude. You're wrecking your mates chance. fking good work. I'm sure he'll see the funny side.

Mrs & Mrs Chubby. Stop. Crying. Just because the closest you've ever been to fresh fish is a fking birdseye fish finger doesn't mean that eating a rabbit, or sushi going to kill you.

ery, utter ery.

The only one that hasn't sold out is Masterchef.

Yepp, I've still been watching, but agree with pretty much everything said above rolleyes

Sadly, I think they've killed this one, and I cant see them making another series, I think Raymond and co are just going thro the motions.
I'd love to hear what they really thought of the contestants, but I think we can all guess.. they are hopeless.

Particularly enjoyed the 'wine expert' ordering some wine..

err I'll have a red a white and a rose... wobble he's got certificates in wine you know !! wink

Was so hoping the cocktail boys real chef was going to walk out after their little disagreement as well...

I think the cocktail boys will win, but unlikely they'll actually go into business with him.. But actually I don't think they are really there for that.. they're just there for the tv and the ride..

soapbox
Great shame this, an interesting and entertaining program ruined before its time.. Now its just a cheap apprentice copy with a bit of cooking ( if you are lucky ) thrown in..

As I've said before, the most telling thing is that there was no BBC3 post show review program this series.. Clearly because even the BBC are embarrassed about the bunch of donkeys they chose.

You do know that this thread is now soooooooo obscure that you can spoil the final?

And I got so bored with it all a while ago with all of the idiots (especially JJ and J - Gayers) that I started trying to find any restaurants in Bristol that may have stayed open smilesmile

Anyway - How bad were they?

Fair and I am actually looking forward to the final but still struggle to see how RB would touch either restaurant with a barge pole smile

Indeed.... and I don't think he will.. at most he might steal the 'british tapas' idea, but actually I think it will just be announced quietly 6 months down the line that they couldn't find a suitable venue, and went their seperate ways..

Much as I think will the series.. frown

Agreed. Unfortunately I think they have completely ruined the concept by playing to the lowest common denominator.

A decent and interesting spin on reality TV has been ruined this series....
