Picked up the Zonda yesterday from HR Owen, and a rather flattering Huayra was sitting next door. I have to say it looks really good in the flesh. Much smaller and more compact than I expected. Usual amazing finish. Front of the car, which I have always disliked in photos, looked totally in sync. Now I still prefer the Zonda and i prefer the fact that it's N/A and has a manual gearbox, but it's not as clear cut as I first thought...

Have to say that colour suit the Huayra quite well! And Zonda R wheels are much nicer than standard wheels. I totally agree that the Zonda still looks much nicer (especially yours), but I would not mind adding the Huayra to my garage! smile

I'll be at Pagani on Monday, can't wait.

Are you going to the 1000Miglia Pagani event?

Cheers,
Max

Is the Huayra owned by your cars original owner?

I saw you post about this on Twitter and I wondered the same as the poster above - is the car owned by the original owner of your Zonda?

When you see the two together like that it just confirms that the Zonda is the much better looking car imo

I suppose this is the first customer UK car, if that's the case, the wheels will soon be changed to "regular" Huayra wheels in silver and the owner doesn't have any connection with TT9's Zonda.

HR Owen is now the official service centre for Pagani in the UK. Hopefully this will be a stable relationship as it has jumped around a number of dealers over the years.

As for the owner of the Huayra the possible rumour is that it could be HR Owen demonstrator, but that has not been confirmed

I too spotted your posts on Twitter and did wonder if there was a connection. Must be a small world that a car with the same colour spec as yours was in the service centre at the same time, especially seeing all the different colour combinations that are out there at the moment!

No I believe the previous owner of mine purchased a Zonda R.
Mine was in for a service - as correctly mentioned - HR Owen are the new UK service agent.
The Huayra was being fitted with a tracker. I understand it is the first UK car but the buyer has agreed to let Pagani use it as the UK demonstrator short-term.

22 month waiting list for a new one, despite the recent price rise.

As much as I liked it , for me the N/A engine, slightly rawer nature and the fact the Zonda is the first car Pagani produced dictate that it is the one to have.

TT9, you should have dragged both cars outside for a photo shoot, not only would you have had some great shots but they would have made great publicity material for HR Owen, its not likely both cars are going to be in the same place any time soon I suspect

Presumably the HRO Huayra is the same as the red one shown at Geneva in March. Wonder if it'll find it's way to South Ken showroom?

It is the same, and it was the same car that was at Top Marques Monaco.

The car will go back to Italy shortly.

Has anyone actually gone and bought one of these ? All seems very quiet on the Huayra front. Not even appearing in the spotted threads. Anyone any clues ?

A lot of the Huayras have been going to the US, Far East and Middle East so far.

At least 5 Huayras have been in the UK so far but, as far as I am aware, only one has been registered here (and it has been up for sale for a long time!).

The only one I see fairly regularly is the one Bob Forstner has had in his window on Park Lane for a while. I went to have a look hoping that pictures didn't do it justice and that it looked better in real life. I was gutted to find that no, the front ends to my eyes is just plain ugly. This is particularly true for Bob's one as it has black aerodynamic flaps in the nose against an otherwise silver body. I prefer the look of the Diablo VT sat next to it by a mile. If I remember I'll post up the pics I've taken of it tomorrow.
