HMRC has incorrect address on my file. [HELP]
Discussion
Hello.
I just recently got my first annual tax summary, however it was sent to a wrong address and that being my uncles ex-wife's address to which I have never used in my life or even know the full address. As you can imagine this has caused some family friction as she is a nutcase and also annoyance as I want my correct details to be on record.
I decided to call HM Revenue & Customs to figure out where the hell this address came from, as I don't trust my uncles ex wife and to obviously sort out the mess. After being on hold for 40 mins, I explained the situation to then be told my details don't match to my account which it obviously wont as they have the wrong address and to be rudely told that I can't do anything due to "security reasons" and I would have to write a letter or go on the website.
Now I have tried the website. No place does it have any information regarding a incorrect address, just has a form to fill up for a new address and with that you will have to give your current and old address plus the moving in date. The problem with this is that the incorrect address will stay in my account as a previous address and will have my current address as a new address.
Now I'm trying to write a letter in order to explain everything but there is no clear address to send the letter to.

I really have no clue about the online accounts. The only option I can recognise is self assessment and I don't even need that as I work for an employer. If you don't have a self-assessment account, you will need to write in quoting your employers PAYE reference and your NI number and include some proof of address, such as a copy bank statement.
A word of warning - HMRC can take 2 months to deal with "routine" post.
Additionally, have you checked your employer has your address correct?
