So I picked up my new (but not so quick) steed today; a 2011 F11 520D M Sport with loads of extras and whilst I was running through the hidden menu within the instrument cluster, I found 2 error codes which were;
E12C03
E12C1A

I have never seen codes in this format before and I was just wondering if anyone else has?

If you have, could you enlighten me as to what the above mean please.

Thanks,

I had a drivetrain error come up on my F11 530D with ZF Auto Gearbox the other day which disappeared after a engine restart.

This has now stored error code E12C03 in the hidden menu...

Car shut down 1/2 its cylinders..

If anyone can help diagnose what the E12C03 potential fix is that's be great :-) all the BMW codes i can find start with P on the interwebs

Hi everyone
I had the same code recently, in my case the little engine light was lit on the display, when i ran my OBD2; E12C01 was the code I got, the info on this code is very limited but I found something related for Audi on the web, don't have the link but it lead me to the spark plugs, I have a 4 cyl twin turbo 528I. I replaced all my spark plugs and after a few start ups the engine light on my display when out by itself, didnt even had to erase the code.Hope this help, on these 5 series the sparks plugs need to be replace every 30k miles or so according to the owner manual.
