Wheels - are they covered under manufacturers warranty ?
Discussion
Bloke at work has had to have 2 new wheels replaced recently on his Z4 after the BMW dealer had identified they had cracked. His 3 year BMW warranty ran out last week but he bought the wheels from the dealer before this.
Could he have claimed these under warranty? Could he try for a refund or too late for that?
I would have thought everything other than consumables would have been covered by the 3 year manufacturers warranty and I wouldn't class wheels as consumable..

Depends what you do with 'em. Prove it's a manufacturing fault, rather than abuse, and they should be covered by the warranty.Could he have claimed these under warranty? Could he try for a refund or too late for that?
