Aston Martin launches AMR Drivers' Club

Customers can choose from three levels of track experience, including tuition in a GT4 racer

Aston Martin has announced plans for a brand new customer-focussed track programme in 2019. The broad remit of the series aims to see drivers of all abilities catered for, whether exploring the limits of their own cars or taking the wheel of some of the marque's more extreme track cars.

Help will be on hand to help participants get the most out their experience, with three 'key pillars' initially be offered. First up is the AMR Experience which itself is split into two parts: 'Discovery' and 'Performance'. Discovery is an entry-level programme, providing an introduction to the brand and its products, as well as one-to-one tuition from a dedicated instructor. Performance, meanwhile, gives Aston Martin owners an opportunity to fully explore their capabilities on track, with the option of an instructor "to provide appropriate guidance" if so desired.

Things get a little more serious in AMR Academy, which offers drivers the change to train with professional Aston Martin instructors in the latest Aston Martin models. Over a total of four-and-a-half days spread across various events, entrants will develop their track capabilities to prepare them for the final pillar, AMR GT Academy. Here participants will spend a further day-and-a-half of one-to-one tuition in a race-prepared GT4 car, providing a platform from which to work towards higher levels of motorsport.

Sebastien Delmaire, Director of Aston Martin Partnerships, said of the programme: "Our customers have been enquiring about this type of programme for a while now, so we are delighted to be able to offer such a strong and structured package of experiences. From the customer who would like to know what his or her Aston Martin is capable of... to those wishing to hone their track skills with future ambitions of racing, we have it covered."

The track experiences will take place across nine separate race circuits, starting with the Algarve International Circuit on March 19th and 20th and taking in the likes of Spa, Silverstone, Imola and Hockenheim before drawing to a close at Dijon on October 22nd and 23rd. Pricing ranges from £750 to £7,600 depending on the course selected with anyone interested in finding out more able to do so here.
