Plastic sheds - yes or no?
Discussion
Looking for a shed for the kids bikes, around 7x10 or 6x10. I was originally going to get a police approved one from Asgard but £1500 and a a wait of 3-4 months for it to arrive has put me off a bit. I found these plastic ones from Palram that look good to me, a few days for delivery and £750ish.

I realise it can probably be broken into much easier than the Asgard but how are they in general? It will be stuck down the side of the house so it doesn't have to look amazing.

If you can, build one.
Something that size won't take long and for the same money you'll get something so much better.
I've just finished a much larger shed to the following spec
Pressure treated 4x2s for the frame,
24mm pressure treated sarking boards to board out the walls and roof.
Galvanised corrugated metal roof.
No felt to replace, the roof has an overhang to keep the walls dry and all the hardware is galvanised so, with some maintenance, I fully expect it to be standing in 40 years time.

That one you linked has really small hinges and locks, that it would be a waste of time locking it.
Do you think there is anything I can do to beef up the door security or is it a lost cause? I would imaging most sheds can be broken into very easy, just need to deter the stupid thieves so they go elsewhere. We have a Keter plastic shed - for about 2.5 years now. This one - https://www.costco.co.uk/Garden-Sheds-Patio/Garden... though we got it on offer for £699.
I put it together pretty much on my own over 2 part days. It was pretty trivial to erect and has not deteriorated in any way since built. It is wind and water proof and solid enough to withstand gales with no problem (it has been well tested in this regard over the last couple of years). It went onto a concrete base and was way simpler to build than a smaller wooden summer house we have (not even counting time saved in not treating/painting). It also won't need painting or treating again in future and the plastic doesn't appear to have been effected by UV so far.
It seems well designed and all parts fitted together with no additional persuasion required. The doors are fairly solid and fit well but as ever wouldn't present too much of a barrier to a determined thief, however probably no different to a similar wooden shed.
We also have a smaller/cheaper Keter shed and the quality of that is noticeably lower so the larger/more expensive ones are definitely more robust.
