Haymarket-BTCC
media deal has us even more excited about the 2014 season (plus the 2015 and 2016 seasons too). We'll endeavour to bring you the best coverage of Britain's best tin-top race series, plus hopefully offer some enticing competitions along the way. Just when you though the return of the
BTCC estate
was the best thing about 2014...
To celebrate the agreement, a video explaining why the BTCC is so loved had to feature. Of course, as with most things, it was tempting to hark back to the days of V6 Mondeos and even further into the archives, but that isn't what next year's racing will be like.
What it should resemble is this, Rounds 19-21 at Knockhill from last year's series. The only Scottish race on the calendar always provides great racing with its narrow, technical layout, bumpy surface and ballsy corners. That and the huge kerbs, of course.
In these six minutes we have three-into-one cornering, Matt Neal versus Jason Plato (again), a Honda Civic on fire and more nudges than a session on the fruit machine. It's brilliant.
