Today's Time for Tea? Is a rather less lavish affair than some of our videos featured previously; it lacks the multi-million dollar budget of BMW's '
The Hire
' commercials and the exquisite locations often used by
Petrolicious
It's basic, but remains hugely exciting. The video comes from a GoPro, attached to JD Classics' TWR-prepared XJS V12 at this year's Donington Historic. It's being driven by Al Buncombe, a man who has proved his driving abilities to PH recently at the Mille Miglia.
Combine all of that together and the result is superb, and refreshingly simple. Highlights include some excellent car control the first time through Redgate, some real commitment through the Old Hairpin, and the noise. Oh the noise.
It's loud, unfiltered, brazen, wonderful V12. It sounds particularly special out of Coppice, the XJS pulling hard through third onto the straight. Have the volume set for loud at the point, and in fact the whole video.
