The Duel: Pic of the Week

The Sainz name is synonymous with motorsport; Carlos Senior is of course legendary for his two WRC titles with Toyota - plus a Dakar win with VW - while Carlos Junior is now making a name for himself in F1 with Toro Rosso.

So what happens when you put a highly competitive father and son in purpose-built drift buggies on a dirt track? Spectacular driving, of course, with even more spectacular pictures! The buggies have 170hp but with only 300kgs to move about both Sainzs are kept busy, as you can see in the vid. Both father and son were complimentary of each other's driving, but surely this duel is more competitive behind closed doors...

Anyone know the type of the buggies??

Great video - Carlos Sr (El Matador) is still a huge competitor.

Also, I find it slightly ironic that Sainz, and Blomqvist have sons who have shown very little interest in pursuing a WRC career, and have gone down the racing path.
