What is this all about? - I live in Blazingsmoke, and am up for a do on 29th June - cant work out what is going off though
Hi Andy -- the idea is that we get a posse of TVRs etc from Basingstoke (and surrounding district) and head off to join Andy at his village fete.
We've already had one convoy drive+pie out of Basingstoke finishing at the Gamekeepers with a pretty good attendance (i.e. about 20 cars!), so it's be great if you could join us on this one too.
Cheers,
Keith.
Keith's already scouted out the route....and we're meeting up on Wednesday to sort out a schedule/map and plan.
Simont - what time should we be arriving at the fete?
By The Way: The Basingstoke PHers Pie and Drive II will be bigger and better than the last one (of course). Not only does the drive end at a country fete (simont for details) but for the start point I've managed to arrange the use of my offices' car park. This may not sound good but...its an old county mansion on the edge of Basingstoke and I thought we could set up a photo-opportunity in front of the house - you know - classic British house with "classic" British sports cars in front of it...thing.
I thought we would post up a schedule/map shortly and get Ted to give us our own "Event Listing".
So...watch this space...

What, another TVR in the village and I missed it, bummer!!
The fete is scheduled to be 'offically' opened at 14:00 so an arrival at 13:30 in convoy should attract some attention
Closer to the day I'll need to know roughly how many cars to expect so I can get enough space set aside
Think I'll drive out to meet you so I can join in the fun.

Simon. Keith and I met up last night over a beer and checked out a set of maps and directions I've done from his notes about the route. So I'll have that sorted (probably) later today.
We could do with coming over to Vernham Dean to see where the fete site is and chatting with you as to where the cars will be...whats expected of us (other than turning up and parking!)...etc
Then I can put that in the notes and the drive over will be sorted. Should be fun!
