Apologies for the thread hi-jack (just a little one), Julian987R please PM me re Olympic Blue? Tried to PM you, your profile is se to not allow emails.
It seems I haven't got Private mail access nor ability to contact PM. If by chance it is related to the 981, I then noted a comment about steering wheel and paddles which lead me to assume it is pDK, which I wouldn't want regrettably, but you can PM me via Cayman OC forum. Thanks

low res
carpay only by wire - which means a cable hanging out the front....which will look a mess. Why no wireless Carplay?
no backup cam support.
I think its a bit of a lame release and wonder if the nmautomotive or the forthcoming

which uses M.O.S.T. bus connection to deliver top notch digital audio and 15 bars DSP equalizer for full sound customization
and will do carplay wirelessy.
isnt that better in many ways?

Depends on what you really want. All i need is bluetooth and digital radio, wireless CarPlay would be lovely but it’s not that big a deal when i can just plug the phone in.
These units have proved very popular in the 9x6 despite not being as functionally rich, and the used market seems to value them when fitted.
well, i'd at least want something to not be out of date even before its even purchased. It is so behind the technology curve that one wonders what was the point of it.These units have proved very popular in the 9x6 despite not being as functionally rich, and the used market seems to value them when fitted.
Apples and Oranges with the 996 as that car is a dinosaur tech wise. you say very popular but I have read many threads of disappointment which act as a temperature check on just how popular it really is.
Used market will favour anything that helps a 996 not be a bag of spanners.
