The first week of November is typically a fairly bleak affair, with the nights drawing in yet further, the temperatures dropping and the worrying sense another year has slipped by. Still, plenty to keep you entertained on PH instead!
Since Monday we've had all the latest cars from SEMA, a new PH Buying Guide and begun getting very excited about Wales Rally GB. See everything below.
One of three very cool MX-5s seen this week!
The Speciality Equipment Market Association show is not one shy and retiring enthusiasts. It's loud, proud and a bit silly, an opportunity for manufacturers to display their most outrageous wares to a receptive audience. Interestingly though Mazda's offerings were quite restrained by SEMA standards, showing an
MX-5 Speedster and Spyder
to Las Vegas. Could a business case be made for a sub-1,000kg MX-5? Here's hoping!
Normal service was resumed with both Mopar and Lexus showing off appropriately daft vehicles. Orange GS F? Fiat 500X on 20-inch wheels? We got 'em! But star of the show has to be the Toyota 4Runner Tonka. How could it not be? It's a real life Tonka toy!
That's not all from the 'one-off cars that look flippin brilliant' category this week. See also the Mazda MX-5 (another one!) being used by Mission Motorsport for this weekend's Race of Remembrance.
Perhaps not the freshest but still great
With such a revered predecessor, there's a great deal of anticipation surrounding the Mercedes-AMG C63 Coupe. This week we've donned anoraks

status. Full story to follow next week, then we'll be onto
the Cabriolet...
On the German coupe theme, the latest PH Buying Guide provides all the info you will need on the BMW Z4 M Coupe. There won't be anything else like it again!
Even further up than either of those on the two-door coupe scale is the new Bentley Continental GT, tested this week in W12 Speed guise. Can it still cut it in a sector of more modern rivals? Its successor isn't far off now...
And the rest? The Lamborghini Huracan has been updated, VW is in more trouble for petrol and diesel engines plus there's an interview with Sergeant Allan Thomson, head of traffic policing on the Isle of Man.
Life continues to improve in the PH Fleet BMW M4! Dan has now discovered how to disable
Active Sound Design
sound fakery, much to the delight of his ears. He's less happy about the latest
speed camera
With our trip to Wales for the rally imminent - has it been mentioned much? - this PH Guide will tell you everything that's required to make the most of a brilliant weekend. Sunday Service at a WRC event? Yes!
Elsewhere this week we've had a new pair of £100K Garages (see Wednesday's here and Saturday's here), a Mercedes SLK55 plucked from the classifieds, the coolest Carpool you've probably never heard of and Shed's got a Civic!
On top of all this there are the best bits from the forum and PHTV too, picked out so you don't have to. Enjoy!
